Adding simple accessories for Perodua Axia

Adding simple accessories for my Perodua Axia Advance 2017 facelift

"I WANT TO BUY A CAR...!"

In general, every household in Malaysia will at least own 1 car parking on their car porch or parking lot if living in high rise building.

Efficiency of the public transport is very bad which it only can be assessible via main roads far away from housing estate or rural village.

It requires at least 10 minutes or up to more than half an hour walking from home to the bus stand when I experienced it from one of my friend's house at some chinese new village.

Living in this country is very troublesome without personal public transport and even a teenager will have their own motorcycle before their legal driving age.

The most common car manufacturer in Malaysia is non other than the most famous brand "Perodua" and every Malaysian should know about it.

Normally people perception towards this car brand is always fuel efficiency, quality, convenience, big space and friendly consumer price.

I have been planned to buy a second car for the purposes of nearby trip which will mainly utilised by my wife for fetching kids to school, to go markets for groceries purchase or occasionally as a backup for my first car in case of any breakdown.

Price range should be less then RM40,000 and it should be convenience for parking and of course very fuel efficient.

Survey done for few months including car reviews, comments from friend and online research.

Finally, I have selected Perodua Axia Advance 2017 facelift version as my wife wanted a full spec car and topping up additional RM3,000 from SE spec will not pose too much different by amount in the monthly installment.

Purchase went smoothly and I have waited only 3 weeks to collect the car from Perodua sales centre at Bukit Jambul, Penang.

For anyone who wanted to purchase a Perodua car can find the sales assistant below and she is a friendly and nice person.

In this article I just wanted to show some simple accessories that I had added into the car and of course the main subject is to show how to route and conceal wiring for car dashcam by drawing power supply from fuse box inside car cabin which I will elaborate more in the next article.

Once collected the new car, the first thing that I have done is to join a longer piping for the aircond drain line hose due to imperfect design and location of the stock drain line.

Car chassis and body are usually made from steel which if get contacted with water will leads to corrosion to occur.

In this case the aircond drain line is constantly dripping water on to the chassis and this will promote even faster wear and tear for the car chassis.

Modification done for this is just cut some plastic hose with length just about 1 feet and adhesive tape for joining between hose.

Then find the drain line hose from inside the cabin and most case is located below foot step at passenger side and just pull it out to have it stick with the DIY plastic hose.

Lastly insert it back into the hole to the outside of the car engine area and secure firmly with cable tie.

Other simple accessories added into the car includes sunshades which is nicely fit shape following the car windows design.

It hold on to the door frame using edge holder stick on by 3M tape and does not affect the windows up/down operation.

I bought this from a very well known car accessories shop located near Bandar Perda, Brxz for the price of RM90.

And then the very next month I found the exactly same sunshades at Mr. D1Y shop at the price of RM49 only.

"Arrgggh! Regret did not survey further before the purchase"

Next accessories added are the door visor or some people will call it door wind deflector bought from (( (please see below shift symbol on keyboard) accessories shop located at Sg. Rambai at a very cheap price of RM35 only.

This accessories is just an item to beautify the car exterior appearance than serving any useful function.

I will certainly recommend 99 car accessories among all other accessories shop around Bukit Mertajam because of its acceptable price range.

Other pending accessories are centre console box, upgrades speaker for high sound quality and some lighting project.

One of the must have car accessories is none other than the black tinted on the top of the windscreen which I installed all by myself.

I able to observe that half of the car on the road is not installed but I found that this tinted did provide massive impact during direct sun glaring and bright sunlight situation whereby it can block almost half of the sunlight which is not very pleasing to my eyes.

The small window at the rear door also installed with the same tinted to block even more sunlight for rear passenger and guest should feels sitting inside a bit more comfortable than before.

And the next accessories which is also the most important item which is car dashcam and I will show how to install and hide the dashcam cable HERE.

Thanks for reading and if you have anything to say then please feel free to leave it down in the comment section below.
