Luxurious Aqua Spa at Vangohh Eminent Premier Hotel

My visit to a spa and wellness centre nearby my home

• Have you been to some wellness centre before?

In Bukit Mertajam or short form for BM here lies 1 of the most exciting place to have some relaxing sensation for those who want some nearby vacation destination.

Situated at Machang Bubok just about 5km from out skirt of BM town area this 5-star rated hotel is everything you need without having to travel far away until island just to enjoy this kind of amenities.

Please don't be misunderstood for such rural place only be lived by some old folks houses or villages and there is nothing special here.

In fact, this area is developing rapidly with all the highend housing estate and highend condo build by many well established construction companies and I foresee in another 5 to 8 years to come, here will be totally different.

Since I also lived in Alma which is also near to Machang Bubok, travelling to this luxury hotel would just spend me 10 to 15 minutes by using some shortcut road at the back (shortcut road only familiar to people who lived in Alma and Machang Bubok).

For those who came from the south can just exit PLUS highway Bukit Tambun and proceed into a narrow road to Bukit Teh then into Jalan Kulim (this can avoid all congested road at Alma area).

Whilst for those who came from north or Penand island can just exit Bukit Mertajam/Bukit Tengah and proceed to Jalan Song Ban Kheng then also into Jalan Kulim.

At 1 of the traffic junction at Jalan Kulim just turn into Jalan Machang Bubok and drive until you see a school and turn right.

From here you can see a beautiful and outstanding building named Vangohh.

Car park rate is not listed but I park here free overnight.

There is many activities to get around here from dining restaurant, club, bar, fitness centre, pool, spa until hotel room and hall for big VIP function.

The purpose of I am here is for the spa treatment and I could tell you that there is only 1 time entrance fees chargable for a 24 hours validity period for all facilities utilisation depending based on below:

• Male - RM128
• Female - RM108
• Children - RM68 (110cm to 140cm height)
• Kids - Free (below 90cm height and limited ONLY to 1 kid per adult)

For this kind of price every guests can have access to all facilities below:

• Jacuzzi
• Sauna
• Steam room (full body steam)
• Gym
• Swimming pool
• Khan steam (which is basically some type of foot steam covered by stones)
• Oxygen bar
• Rest lounge
• 24 hours buffet non stop food and beverages separated into 4 meals

1. Breakfast 7am - 9am
2. Lunch 12pm - 3pm
3. Dinner 6pm - 10pm
4. Supper 11pm - 2am

There is also additional services provided at additional cost such as massage and therapy ranging from RM28 until RM288 and kindly get ready for a 10% service tax together with 6% sales tax (SST) taxable at the final prices added up.

For everyone information this Aqua Spa spa and wellness centre just opened and started to operate just 2 months ago.

OK! Without further due, from here I will post dozens of pictures to elaborate all of the facilities since picture says a thousand words and so please be ready for some heavy data usage here.

Arrived here at 8am and proceed to a stunningly decorated lobby at ground floor.

Ask receptionist they inform to proceed to 3rd floor using lift behind elevator

Once reached 3rd floor and door opened can see a another nicely decorated waiting lobby

Together with another registration desk, register first and pay when check out.

Astonishingly decorated area with small pond lived with life lion head gold fish. Ooh! Lovely...

These are all the prices for various kind of packages.

Proceed to changing room to keep belongings after registration done.

Lockers are very tidy partitioned and big enough to keep all my things.

Registration is pretty simple as they will just provide a good quality jade wrist band with numbering sensor tag for unlocking locker door (no key required).

Then exchange into their attire provided by them.

Going in after the changing room is the jacuzzi pool. Cool!

Since breakfast time is about to end I should straight ahead go take a meal next.

Breakfast is adequately supplied with salads, beans, eggs, nuggets and some fruits.

Dining place with ample of tables enough to accommodate up to 50 pac.

In case if full then the rooftop garden is also a very good place to dine here or if smoker then please proceed here.

After breakfast I just go walk around to familiarise with all the areas here and right next to dining area found a relaxing place to enjoy spare time for chinese chess, chinese tea or lying on the couch.

Then found a place leading to 2nd floor with gorgeous stair.

Going down staircase leads me to outside bar (next to the bar is a fitness centre but need to pay extra).

Going down again next to the other side of the bar is swimming pool.

Swimming pool combined with children water playground and a 1.2 meters or 4ft deep pool.

I swim here from morning till afternoon.

Go further until the end found a small children playground just below rooftop garden.

At 12pm I pull myself out from the pool to have a shower at nearby toilet beside the bar and then head back to 3rd floor and notice 3 treadmills beside the staircase.

Afternoon lunch time and food provided is just too little for all guests as I came here on Sunday and it is very crowded.

As always, salad will always be my opening dish.

Variety of pastry included and this may probably be the most good presentation food over here.

Here is my lunch!

Swimming pool can be observed from the dining area at 3rd floor.

After done filling my stomach I head to the rest lounge next at 4th floor through this stair.

The rest lounge is nicely furnished in a very good and relaxing environment.

This rest lounge is enough to accommodate up to 38 pac of not mistaken.

Chair is electric recliner with remote control and individual monitor for online entertainment such as music, movies, games, live TV and introduction about Vangohh Eminent.

Speakers wise are located at both each left and right side of the head rest to prevent loud noise from monitor disturbing other guest. 

For ladies those who want some privacy then the separated ladies rest lounge is the choice for you and it is about 6 pac (I cannot confirm as I am a gentleman).

Outside open area of 4th floor also found some sort of green room covered with glass panels (I come here later at night which will be elaborate later part).

After lunch I manage to catch 1 movie length 1 hour and 41 minutes before heading down to continue the next activity which is also the main, spa wellness.

Jacuzzi warm water pool with rain shower and pressure washer.

There is also a very large TV about >120 inches playing some show so guests will always be entertained without getting boring soaking here.

Next beside the Jacuzzi is sauna room.

To increase temperature just push the button at the bench to shower wet the hot stones (different from others sauna I have went before by manually spraying water using water ladle).

Temperature inside reaches as high as 54 degree celcius (if you can tahan then go ahead and stay inside for half an hour).

Guests are advised no to bring watches inside as it may be very hot and causing skin burn and so please use the hourglass (I manage to stay inside for 12 minutes). 

Then right beside the sauna room is steam room and I did not go in there due to the temperature inside is even hotter than sauna.

Actually there is another sauna room half the size of this existing sauna room and steam room inside the toilet nearby the bar and swimming pool and i forgot to take picture for this.

I have spent 3 hours for both Jacuzzi and sauna and after that I have to clean up myself at the shower room beside (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel is provided together with tooth brush and tooth paste. There is no need to bring your own)

Dinner time at 8pm and food is somewhat appetizing at this time.

Free flow of drinks from juice until smooth coffee from the instant coffee machine.

Whole day has gone and last activity for me should be relaxing inside the green room which I showed few pictures earlier.

Inside this glass covered green room is Khan steam by soaking foot inside the pool of stone with some heat (above) and oxygen bar (below).

Spending 2 hours inside here and at 11pm something I am having the last meal before packing up myself and this have made my day for the spa treatment at Vangohh Eminent Premier hotel located at Machang Bubok.

Needless to say, improving our health well being through spa treatment can be seen as some kind of supplementary for our physical body aside from eating healthy and living healthy.

Not to forget as often we need to enjoying some nice and wonderful environment to relax our mind after the long weekday stress from our tension job.

I would like to say that Vangohh Eminent here could provide such a good place that not even myself can imagine and for such price it is a very bargaining and not to be missed.

Of course there is also some little room for improvement such as adding more varieties of dishes for the buffet but at this price range it is quite satisfied.

At the end, I have just spent RM148.50 including all chargable tax for a 16 hours stay at Aqua Spa and I would highly recommend for those who do not want to travel far away to get to a spa and wellness centre.
